Work

I work as a freelance marketing consultant and writer primarily in music, technology and publishing  in Nashville, Tennessee. I calculated it all up and I have (gulp) nine years of non-traditional marketing experience and five years experience in strategic social media planning and implementation and digital marketing to promote brands, ideas and events. That makes me ancient in the world of “new media.”  Goodness…

Anyway, I’m passionate about the ever-changing landscape of music, art, technology, and marketing, which you will note if you happen to follow me on Twitter, subscribe to my updates on Facebook, follow my pinboards on Pinterest, or put me in a fancy circle on Google +.  Oh, and by the way, Nashville IS the music technology capital of the world.  I love it here!

A sampling of current and past projects and clients:

- Interactive and experiential marketing programs and sponsorship implementation at Live Nation
- Managed of social media campaigns for @remarkablewit, @moontoast, @digitalnashvlle, @nashtechcouncil, @OldMadeGood, @NashvilleNFF and @CompassRecords
- Created and managed content for The Nashville Technology Council website
- Consulted with the Martha O’Bryan Center on technology and marketing solutions
- Consultant for Randa Solutions on marketing implementation, product development and educational technology RFP responses
- Consultant for Landmark Digital (BMI) on product development and strategy

I’ve volunteered for several years as a community organizer in the film, music, technology sectors, as well as with underserved populations and those in poverty.  I helped start a quarterly program for filmmakers to screen their completed or close to completed works called Ocularis in Brooklyn, NY, and was a founder of Digital Nashville and served as the volunteer Executive Director in its inaugural year.  I also helped launch Innovation Group Nashville with John Pisciotta every month to talk to entrepreneurs about music, technology, innovation and to share war stories.  I now serve on the Martha O’Bryan Center‘s Young Professionals Committee, which supports the Center’s mission to empower youth, children and adults in poverty through community advocacy, fundraising and volunteerism. I also help All About Women spread the word about free health and wellness services and screenings for women in Nashville.
Feel free to contact me to learn more about me and my work.
